Prayer & Praises: March 12th - 18th

Monday, March 12:

“Whatever you did for one of the least of these, you did for me.”  Mt. 25:39

Pray for those in our community who struggle with food insecurity.

Pray for our Backpack Program, our meal-site ministry, and for The Lord’s Harvest as they seek to minister to those with food insecurity.

Ask God how you might become involved to help those who are hungry.

Tuesday, March 13:

Be ye kind one to another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake has forgiven you.  Ep. 4:32

Thank God for your family and for your home.  Remember those who are homeless and ask God how God can use you to help those who are homeless in Madison County.

 Wednesday, March 14:

Pray for those who are sick in our congregation.  Remember those who are struggling.

Pray for those who have lost loved ones in recent months.

Thursday, March 15:  Noon- Lenten Study

“A friend loves at all times.”  Pr. 17:17

Thank God for your friends and the blessing they are in your life.

How might you reach out to those who are new in our congregation to help them feel welcome?

Is there someone you know who might be lonely and hurting right now?

How can you show your love today?

Join us in the Fellowship Hall at noon for a snack lunch followed by our Lenten Study.

Friday, March 16:

Thank God for the community spirit at Mars Hill Baptist.

Ask God to help you find ways to get involved in reaching out to our community.

Saturday, March 17:  Happy St. Patrick’s Day

Did you know that St. Patrick was actually from England?  He was taken to Ireland to be a slave when he was young.  After he became a priest, he asked to be sent as a missionary to Ireland!  God calls us to love our enemies and do good to those who hate us.  How might you reflect in this teaching today?

Sunday, March 18:  Fifth Sunday in Lent

“Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.” Ps. 119:105

Pray for our time of Bible Study and worship today.  Pray for all who will lead in worship.
